Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) aims to secure the health of women and children by providing clean cooking fuel – LPG so that they do not have to risk their health in smoky kitchens or wander in dangerous places to collect firewood. Under that scheme, the government will provide LPG connections to 80 million BPL households and include a subsidy of Rs. 1600 per association which is given only to female beneficiaries.

This scheme was launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Only women belonging to poor families can get it. You will get a free LPG cylinder under the PMUY scheme.
